Directions to Fort Wilderness

Hello all, I've looked at mapquest and and wanted to know if anyone has encountered any problems with road signs, roads, bridges, etc in getting to Fort Wilderness? I will be heading down I-95 to 4 towards Orlando. Thanks in advance! We will be heading that way in two weeks.

Mapquest shows to get off I-4 at Exit 67. However, Fort Wilderness directions, on their website, states to get of I-4 at Exit 64. Which exit is the best one to use?

Once you're on Disney property, follow the Magic Kingdom signs, then you'll start seeing Fort Wilderness signs. Have fun, totally jealous! I was suppose to go this weekend.

I believe both exits 64 and 67 are Disney properties. So, which one?

We've camped in FW a couple of times this year. Here's a good piece of information so you don't get confused. You actually have to go through the gates for a parking ticket to Magic Kingdom. Make sure you stay as far right as you can, because immediately after you go through the Magic Kingdom entrance you will veer to the right.
They'll direct you right on through, and you won't have to pay parking, but it looks like you have to go to Magic Kingdom to get to Fort Wilderness. It's kinda weird.

Either one will get you there. Just follow the signs to Magic Kingdom, because Fort Wilderness is right next to it.

Thanks all. Everyone is looking forward to heading out next week. We've been there a few times but this will be the first time for the grandkids. They are excited. Ages 5, 10, and 13.

Have a great time...I get just as excited about Disney as my 4 & 8yr old kids so I can relate to your grand kids excitement! LOL

You CANNOT miss Ft Wilderness once you get to I-4, then Disney exits - too much signage if you ask me. You will not get lost, but you WILL have fun!

The first and last time camping in Fort Wilderness was in 2000, it was our 3rd camping trip as newbies, we had no problem getting there and returning. We traveled from Westminster MD to Disney right down I-95 to Rt-4 it was the frist time for our two kids (8 and 10).

Now the last time we where there was in 2007, my daughter was in her first year of college and played Lacross at Disney's Wide World Of Sports Complex, nothing had changed, no problem going or coming...By the way my daughter was on a plane with her team...not me I toke our GMC Suburban, but we did not camp that time around.....Have a great time and be safe post some pic when you get back.

Our new camper is due in by Christmas and we were just talking about going next year.
