Are you connect to Sat on the outside wall plate or cable/TV?
Cable/TV runs through the Wineguard amplifier and will not work.
First things first. Run the antenna directly to the receiver box through a window if you have to. Get a picture and then move things around. Also if there is a splitter in the circuit newer boxes do not like that and will fail to lock in. Personally I have bypassed the stuff that came from the factory and run new dedicated lines to my receiver locations.

Thanks for the quick reply. I hooked the sat thru th window directly to the receiver and the system worked great. I then hooked SAT to the " SAT" port on the outside wall plate and get a message " Looking for sat signal" and it never finds it. My trailer has 3 inside coax ports ( one in back, one at main TV and one in the bedroom). It sounds like maybe a splitter is the problem??? YOur thoughts??

Thanks

The only place you can use the sat is at main tv. Normally bedrooms and bunk housses are exempt from sat Coax.

Thanks. You are correct. It works on main TV. Signal strength really good, but the picture is a little grainy. Any suggestions??

I had the same issue with my rig... grainy pic. Usually this is caused by a less than wonderful connection. Make sure all your connections are snug, if they are you could have a bad ground connection at one of the cable ends. I had to replace one of the cable ends inside my rig with a new connector.

The other connections are only for over the air programming or DVD use .
They use low quality cables and connections . Best bet is tu run new. As I'm going to do.

Yup. My BR TV location now has 5 count em 5 coax connections. One for over the air TV, 2 for the roof top antenna and two for the portable antenna. LR also has five now. so far I have never used the roof top antenna, picture is just too much crap. That does not count the two different 120VAC receptacles. One for shore power and one for inverter power.
