Dish vs Direct TV

This is an aside, but I recently learned that DirecTV has an app that you can download to your tablet. You then can watch any of the channels you would watch at home on your tablet. This works well for us. We watch some over-the-air channels on the TV, but then I can watch any of my favorite shows on the tablet if they don't come over the air. We have a hot spot, so I usually have good wi fi connection, but not 100% of the time. I think it is probably better than the satellite reception we would have in a lot of the CG due to tree interference. I know this option is not for everyone, but it is one option.

Dish has the same thing. Dish and Direct are actually pretty even. One advantage Direct has is better sports packages (especially football). Dish has the advantage of an RV program with an actual RV support department. Also Dish can get HD from the automatic mobile antennas like the tailgater, while Direct can not.
