DMR/DMC 7-Series Refrigerator

Preparing for our first trip with our 2016 Rockwood TT. The bottom shelf in the frig door has some flexible plastic tabs I have never seen before. They project toward the front of the door. They actually to be seem in the way. What are they for?

I'm guessing to hold items more firmly in place.
My fridge has them to.

Bottom shelf is a little deeper. Helps hold items in place.
