Do you know what this is
On our 17 foot Geo Pro, there are metal triangles mounted under the frame near the rear. See photo attached with item circled. Anyone know what their purpose is?

From their placement, I would guess to protect your tank drains from impacting the pavement going up a steep driveway or something

What he ^^^^ said to protect the rear components when going up a steep incline.
Years ago some trailers had swivel wheels mounted just below the rear bumper.

Ha! Larry posted a question and came back that day to see answers to his questions. Some members post a question and come back in 25 days to see IF anyone happened to respond.

Those are rear Stabilators. they counteract the g-forces during sharp turns and prevent Horizontal De-stabilization of the trailer if you should excede 6.8 g's.
????? Hell !!! everyone answered the question so fast, I felt I had to throw in something.

I respectfully disagree...
According to Capitain Kirks "Space for Dummies" manual, page 13453, those things on the Enterprise were to smooth the flux of Hectoplasm going out the tailgate when above warp 1.2....
That is the main purpose, but some people also use to tie the dog leash on it and others to bottom out their "vessel"....
Just don't forget to unleash the dog before going above warp 0.4....
Just kidding.... As they said above to protect the camper if it hits the bottom....

Those are the same type of people who go to an all you can eat buffet, and leave 3 plates of uneaten food on the table when they leave.

And........they’re the first ones to complain that the price for a buffet meal keeps going up.
All you can eat......the operative word being EAT.
No one counts how many times you return, but ONLY TAKE WHAT YOU WILL EAT.

They are there for the purposes of leaving unsightly marks on the pavement.

I stand corrected. I forgot to reference my Starship Maintenance manual.

My siblings and spouses got tossed out of an "All you could eat Crab legs" once. Apparently they never saw us eat crab legs. We just laughed it off and left after paying the bill. They were gracious about how they informed us. We probably put a huge dent in their bottom line that day.

Yes.... they are rub rails. Steep inclines, going on and off ferries at extreme tides etc.

Come On...
At 17' long, with the axle positioning it shows in the picture, you couldn't make this trailer scrap the pavement if you; well you couldn't do it...so my uneducated guess is they are to connect the screw in tie-downs to keep the trailer on the ground in times of high winds and/or other horrible weather concurrences.
