Does this look correct?
We just returned from picking up our new 8244WS in Indiana. We are very happy that we chose Rockwood, and even more so after we toured the manufacturing facility last Thursday. It is an amazing process.
We heading home yesterday (about 450 miles), and arrived without any problems.
Today was washing and more inspecting day for us. We have a slight problem with the bbq hook-up; but we're working on that one.
I'm attaching photos of our slider in. This is the larger of our slider and doesn't quite retract completely (or maybe this is the way it is) due to a strip running down the side. Question is "is this the way it is suppose to be"?
Thanks,

Looks normal to me. Truly flush is something you find on the $1 million+ coaches.

Normal. Mine has about a 3/8 gap from camper to slide.

My 2012 Silverback 29rk living room/dinette slide has about the same amount showing when fully retracted.
My bedroom slide fits more flush than my rear slide.

I had the same concern. According to the dealer and inspecting other similar models at the dealership, it is normal.

Sounds like from what everyone says, it is normal.. My question is why wouldn't they cut that molding/ trim piece shorter so that it is not in the way when the slide is retracted so that the slide would sit perfectly flush with the stationary siding? What is supposed to be the normal looks like lousy workmanship to me...I think that would bother me too.

If it sat flush to the side there would probably be scars/wear marks on the side from movement while traveling...

If you look at how the slide and seals are constructed, the slide does not even touch the trim as that lip on the slide compresses the slide seal and there is still about 1/8" clearance to the trim. IMO it would look shoddy if they cut the trim flush with the slide lip but to each his own.
