dometic fridge freezer 2016

i have a signature ultra lite 2016 with a dometic fridge freezer, works well in fact too well as the fridge compartment freezes, jars of pickled onions, beetroot, ham etc on any shelf, doesnt happer all the time, fridge is on warmest setting, I am i England and its not really hot yet, so i dont think external temperature is an issue.
Any ideas
Alison

Have you tried moving the thermostat? I think down is cooler.
It is the white thing on the fins to the right.

No, UP is COOLER (you seem to have lost your indicator sticker):

Check to see if your "slider" has fallen off the fins. We had this happen in our last camper and had the freezing problem you've encountered. The "slider" should have a wire with a thermostat attached to the end of it. If it has fallen off just put it back on the fins. If the slider is missing it may be in the fridge somewhere on a shelf.

I don't believe the 702 has a slider. But it should still have a sensor somewhere that may have moved from where it should be.

Here's the manual, in case you don't have it.

Then you don't have the control board as shown in the 2nd pic in Post #5??

Guess I stand corrected.

Seems odd that you would have a slider AND temp controls on the control board.

My 2016 has a DMR 702RB Fridge and it has those controls but no slider and never had one. Mine used to freeze sometimes on the upper shelves but I put a small 12V fan on the top shelf against the fins to keep the air circulating and has not done it since.

Just had the same problem with my DMR 702 fridge. My fridge dose not have the temperature control on the cooling fins also. It has a white 1/4" round temperature sensor just below the cooling fins on the right side inside the fridge. We were at the FROG International rally last week and asked the Dometic technicians for some help to trouble shoot the problem. They checked the temperature sensor with an ohm meter and said that the senser was has failed and is not reading the right resistance for the temperature in the refigerator. My DMR 702 fridge temp was running 45 deg F to 25 DEG F. I replaced the sensor and the temperature is now 39 DEG F to 33 DEG F.

You will need to move the refrigerator forward 3 to 4" so you can get at the back of the fridge to remove the old sensor and install the new sensor into the fridge compartment. Caution when removing the fridge that you don't damage the woodwork under fridge. You need to lift it up a little to keep it from damaging the wood work. Below is a link to the sensor I replaced.

Hope this helps Tim

Thank you all for your very helpful advice
I have no slide but do have the sensor fitted below the fins on the right side of the back wall.
Now i know its there, possibly i had buried it in food? so had hindered its operation. Will keep it clear of food and monitor temperature.
Thanks
Alison

I have the same refrigerator. I have found that the more crammed it is with stuff, the more things freeze, or get close to freezing. If I have a reasonable amount of stuff in it, like I should, I don’t have the freezing problem. Sometimes, I just have to have a ton of crap in it, but usually there is stuff that can be thrown away or put in the cooler instead.

I really like this refrigerator because it works better than any other RV refrigerator I have owned and it cools much faster than what I read about on here from people with different refrigerators.
