Dvd quit, how to add another

Our built in dvd player quit working In our 2306 minilight. Can't take time now to replace or get repaired. Have a small lightweight dvd player but trouble is no easy place to put it. So thinking about putting it up with those 3m picture hanging strips. They hold up to 16 lbs and the dvd player is only about 3 lbs but concerned if heat from it would cause a problem with the stick on strips. We are not electrically inclined so dont want to get into replacing built in ourselves or worring about drilling to attach a real shrlf (under where the built in dvd player is because of probable wires etc) anybody ever try this or perhaps another idea or is it safeto put up a small sheld under that overhang where built ib plaer and air cond controls are? Thanks for any ideas

For outside entertainment, we bought a TV with a built in DVD player. Not a cheap solution, but...

Thanks. We thought about that but we were trying to figure something else out...trying to save on something else to have to store, and having to set something up on the table or sink etcl but looks like that is the only way out. Thank you for your help

Why not pull the whole unit and replace it?

We just went through something like this on another thread today. It's actually pretty easy to pull the unit partially out and make sure that no wires came loose. You didn't say how it went out, but I'm guessing it could possibly be a loose connection and a really easy fix.

Well rv was sitting in storage about 2 months. Before that all was ok. Went to put dvd in a few days ago and when I put dvd in ..it just accepts the disc but keeps showing. "Load" but wont play dvd. Have to turn unit off to get it to eject the disc. Tv keeps showing "no signal" even though have it on correct channel but the dvd player just isnt playing the disc. Hooked my computer up to play dvd and that works ok but we wont always have the computer.

Yeah, that one actually sounds like a bad unit. Could be dust on the laser thingy and one of those cheap CD player cleaning discs ( I think they still make those ) might work, but I'd think the tv would still get signal.

Could it be a blue ray disk? We have a DVDs player at home that does that when we put in a disk it can't read. It's a blue ray player but can't read all blue ray disks.

Got a blue ray player on woot for $29. Refurbished but works great with the same warranty as a new one.

We put our blue ray player on the top bunk above the dining table in our 1905.
