Electirc Awning question

Can anyone who has the a electric awning tell me if when you retract the awning closed does both arms seat the same distance from the trailer when it stops?

The reason I ask is that I noticed that the motorized arm which is the one towards the font of the trailer stay out about 1" while the rear arem is flush. The dealer is telling me that the manuf says this is normal.

Can anyone else verify this?

Thanks

the front arm of my electric awning also stays out a little, but not an inch. This only happened after I installed the drop arm on the rear. It does not seem to effect anything, although I do watch it occationally when travelling

Mine is the same but not as much. I push on both awning arms to "seat" them after they stop.

Awning question.

My power awning squeeks. How do I lube it?

Just spray silicone in there?

Our electric awning does the same too when it retracts and I remembered that I checked that issue with other trailers on the dealer's lot and same thing (about an inch). it must be in the mfg design.

Mine did that on the rear arm when we got it so I ran it out a little and twisted the arm to make it seat. Works OK now.

Not sure what they did but both seem to go in now evenly and lock.
I think like you said that is just needed to open and close a few times.

We have the basic power awning from Dometic/A&E. Seems to seat evenly on both ends. We probably have 10 or so extend/retract cycles on it.

Now that I have used my awning a few times it seem that is still not rolling up correctly and has some wrinkles in the middle.
Weird. Any solutions?
