Electrical Dilemma

While trying in install a Progressive EMT I found I don't have enough voltage to the electrical panel. I have 110 volts to the RV. A volt meter plugged into a kitchen receptacle shows 110 volts, but the input wiring to the electrical panel only shows 45 volts.
Everything in the RV seemed to work ok this weekend.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Where did you measure 110 volts at? Between the two vertical slots? Between the ground and the hot? Is your Progressive wired properly?

The 110 was measured from the hot to the common (two verticals, and also hot to the ground). Actually I a measuring on the wires entering the switch panel, or breaker box.
Talking with Progressive briefly on Saturday they said they have found units with problems at the main power cord plug in on the coach. If that was the case why would I get 110 in the kitchen and the air conditioning and everything else working fine.
I'll take a fresh look at it next weekend.

Hi Blaster 84 The progressive EMT Has a step down transformer from 110 to 12 volts in it. If you by accident measured 110 to the 12 volt side of the transformer and not common you would get strange reading from the volt meter. If the 110 power connections to the EMT is hooked up right (black or red 110 to line in, white to common, and green to ground) and you have 110 from black or red To common or ground you most likely don't have a problem with the main power cord.

Solved my problem today. Nothing wrong with the RV or the EMT. The only defect was my stinking Thinkin. I didn't have it wired right.

ive been told its not good to try and withhold flatulation for this very reason...
