Question Enclosed underbelly

My TT has an enclosed underbelly so I can't look to see what's going on down there. Does anyone have any info on the 2014 Rockwood UL 2304s regarding insulation, etc. All I know about it is that I have heated tanks (don't know which ones are heated) and an enclosed underbelly. Don't know if the elbows are heated too. Would like to know if there is any insulation there or just the heat from the furnace duct. Is there a way to look around in there without tearing stuff up?

I would ask my dealer but these are the same guys that have given me misinformation several times in the past so the trust isn't really there.

Thanks.

Agreed with the dealership misinfo. From what I've been told (again, take it with a grain of salt because I haven't torn into mine) is that the tank heaters, which are on the gray and black, are just heating pads and don't cover anything else. I'd doubt any additional insulation. I'd also doubt there being a heat vent unless you could physically verify it....I can't tell on mine. This may be something to ask the factory on. I'm kind of curious as well.

On my 2011,2604 Ultra Lite I have tank heaters also.Do not know what good they will do.Took the outdoor shower thingy out to have a look between floor and underbelly. No insulation of any kind. Not on water lines or drain pipes.I think that it will get pretty cold down there.I have camped with temps in the low teens with no problems.I insulate the water supply hose and the exposed dump valves + the sewer hose. Also let the faucets drip a little during the night.

When i toured the Rockwood plant I saw heating pad looking thing glued to the bottom of the tank. I would guess it heats up the gray and black tank liquids enough to allow them to drain. Like a tea kettle on a hot plate. I didn't see extra insulation around the tank area.

Has anyone tested these. How cold has it been? Are they good down to 0 or below?

Don't even think about it! You will have more than tank issues! Our unit (V-Lite) has tank heat pads and Ex.pipe and Valve heaters. There is (NO) mat or batt insulation above the (enclosed underbelly). If you ever drop the (enclosed underbelly) have wire ties, elect.tape, foam spray insulation, rubber hose-to make gromets for wires and hoses, 1x3 wood for add.support under tanks and you will find other things for sure! I have been there. Good luck! Oh,if you want to go back and Search on this Forum, there was a Member who tried to (Winter in Minn.) They even had a (Forrest River Ice Fishing Rig) they moved into after the (Forrest River House Unit) froze up! Youroo!!

Thanks youroo I was just wondering have a brother in Northwest Arkansas and plan to visit this winter. They seldom see temps lower than the 20's at night but occasionally see temps in the single digits at night. Just wondering if a guy could get by in these temps?
