Eternabond tape repair

I would like to know how to remove the mess that my dealer installed over my Sirius radio antenna. Attached are the pictures before and after the repair. I'm worried about the potential leak. This is on my slide roof. I do have a topper but I'm afraid to wash the slide roof. I do have some tape to replace it. I complained to my dealer which I have bought 3 RV'S from. The service manager said that If I do not like there workmanship to find another dealer I can't leave it as is being the upper sweep go's over it. If I ruin the sweep The whole slide would have to pulled to install another. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks like a trash bin------------

Looks like you need to remove all the old tape (use acetone for prep). Glenn,
I would do a temp repair until Goshen, Have factory tech do the repair.

I would rip all their tape off and re-tape it lengthwise starting at the outside and overlapping each strip and let it go until Goshen and let them re-cover the entire slide.

Make sure you clean the whole area with acetone.

Just curious, but why is the antenna mounted on top of a slideout? Kind of rare to see anything mounted on top of the slide that has to pull through the wiper.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

Either the factory or the dealer messed up. Unbelievably sloppy repair regardless.

Either way, I would not darken that dealer's door again and post whoever it is to warn others.
