Exterior Speakers

Hi All: I have a 2012 Windjammer 3001W. The exterior speakers are much lower than the interior speakers. If I have the interior set at a 4 for volume I need to turn off the interior and raise the volume to about 12-15 to be able to hear at a low level at the exterior. Is this normal for water proof speakers?? I have an appointment with the dealer at the end of May and want to get info on this before I go there. Thanks; Frank

That stinks, especially when you forget to lower the volume before you turn on the interior ones LOL

The speakers have a volume reducer connected in to protect them, I have the same problem. For some reason they are limited. How they do it is passed me, but they have told me that it can not be changed. To hear the outside I have to just listen to them other wise it's almost full volume inside. If you find out how to change that please post it.

If we are outside we usually turn the inside speakers off, otherwise it is way too loud inside when you go in.

perhaps a design to ensure the neighbors are not blasted out of their trailer spot by you playing all that Techno music....
When you get them co-ordinated with a light show watch out...

I have windjammer 3008 2012, same problem with outside speakers
Being far to quite. After various discussions and persistence the problem has been resolved, they changed out the stereo. They are aware of this problem as it is common but they prefer to tell you it's normal for outside speakers. Not the case the replacement is 100 times better and now I have to turn it down instead of cranking to the max to hear it. No point in having to tell people to be quite to here it now I just turn it up. Very satisfied with the switch out.

I believe it's a genesis or something like that, I can check if you would like and get the model # also. Sure made a world of difference the dealer said they have had problems with that brand that they were installing.

I'm glad it made the difference 12 setting is plenty enough sitting out side.

When I turn on the interior speakers and set the volume it's impossible to bother the neighbors since with a reasonable interior volume the outside is almost off. Works well if I forget they're on outside. That could be the reason for it and I don't think if I set the volumn on the outside I'd need the inside on. Time will tell.

They come with an A, B & C switch. A=LR, B=BR, C=Outside

Just what pwb01 said. Wife is in the kitchen listening to music on A speaker. I want to be outside and listen to C speaker. I cannot hear it very well as it is too low in volume. If I turn it up so I can hear outside the wife cannot stand the loud music inside. Is there a fix for this?

I'd assume it's a problem for the dealer. I set mine on 4 & can listen inside & out comfortably. 6 is too loud outside.

racerx, did you check you "B" speakers? On mine both "B' and "C", the volume is low compared to "A". I tried resetting the system, with no luck.

I have the same issue. Except not only having lower volume on B and C speakers, my B speakers sometimes work and sometimes not so much. I have tried to reset like the Dealer said but to no avail. I think I am going to ask for a new radio this fall when it goes in for a few other things. I thought I heard that someone had theirs replaced and all speakers were same volume after new radio was installed.

I can use "a" & "b" no problem. Bear in mind that my hearing is a bit bad. Inside I set the volume around 6-8. Outside, I need to set it to about 10-12.
