First Mods!
Our first real mod was the Furrion back up camera. I installed that while still on the dealer lot.
We wanted the theater seating, but the two 2608's on the lot had the sofa. We really didn't want to wait 6-8 weeks and the TT had everything else we wanted so we bought the unit off the lot and purchased a RecPro reclining sofa.

My next mod was to install two 6 volt extreme cycle golf cart batteries in place of the stock single 12 volt battery

Is the theater seating as much more comfortable over the couch as it looks? Jay

You need to get a metal box with a lock for the batteries. I had a brand new battery stolen, they come with a sharp knife and wire cutters. Snip snip cut and its gone

I agree with the theater seat switch. We did the same after our first snowbird season. The sofa they put in looks great and works for extra sleeping but is very uncomfortable. So nice to recline after a long day of fun.

A quick search should find the recent thread that answered the question in rather exhaustive detail. Short answer - golf cart batteries are more available, cheaper than the equivalent amp hours in 12v TRUE deep cycle but otherwise little difference. The key is TRUE deep cycle.

6v golf cart batteries are true deep cycle batteries with thick plates. They tolerate draining and recharging better.
True deep cycle 12v batteries are hard to find and not as common as 6v golf cart batteries.
Most RVs with 12v batteries, have marine/dual-purpose batteries that have CCA ratings. CCA ratings are for starting motors and useless for running RV systems.

This ^^. If you like to camp off the grid at all these are a must. You will kill a 12v battery if you discharge below 50% on a regular basis.
The 6v batteries can be drained to death and come back to life for years.
Not to mention they give you more than double the amp hours of a single 12v battery.
Win, win, win

Which batteries are you asking about? Lithium, AGM, 6v golf cart batteries?
Not sure what you mean by "saint".

As comfy as those loungers look, I'm afraid the DW wouldn't approve. She likes to canoodle on movie nights.

You still should only discharge the 6V to 50%. No difference between a true 12V deep discharge and a 6V deep discharge

We'll have to disagree on that one.
