First Morning in my 8312SS

Absolutely love this trailer! Only the first day so I haven't had time to figure out the things I will need to improve on... (At least the list is only a page long or so...)

Will post my RV Wholesaler experience next week, that was a fun 7 hours....

Hello,
We are looking at the same trailer. What do you tow with, and how does it handle? Have fun with the camper, I have a 2007 and have had no major issues!
Thanks,
Ron H.

I'm towing with 97 Suburban 2500, 454, 4.10 gears ..

I also have a 1500 suburban that I might hook up in a pinch but it will certainly be over weight.. Just towed the trailer 600 miles home with an equalizer hitch and it towed quite well. I was worried about the aerodynamics and extreme tongue weight and was pleasantly surprised... Really a nice trailer with lots of room...

Would love to know about the trailer and RV Wholesalers. Thinking about working with them as well. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi, is this a 2012 or 2013 trailer? We are considering this trailer and would like to know what made you pick this one. Thanks.

We went for the 2012 because it was immediately available and had all the options we were looking for..

We chose the trailer for several reasons, coming from a 2 bunk jayco we loved the rear bunk room with space for 4 or 5... The amenities appear to be of high quality throughout.. We were down to a bullet and the rockwood and decided on the rockwood because of the real doors separating the bunk room and bedroom up front, and the king sized u dinette... I was not a big proponent of the outside kitchen, thought it was wasted space, but now really love it. So nice to enjoy coffee in the morning and not have to go inside to get it, store a ton of cold drinks outside is nice as well. I think we are going to remove the outside stove and replace it with a countertop and just use that area for adult beverages we never cook inside, always grill outside, two stoves is really two stoves too many...

The door to the bathroom is a real nice option as well.. Gone are the days of the kids traipsing through the camper just to use the bathroom...

The trailer is really quite spacious as well, queen up front is a Serra and as comfortable as our bed at home...

So far the only thing I don't like is the bathroom door does not have a lock and the jack is not powered.. Both easy fixes just need to find time to tackle them...

We camped this weekend with 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of room...

Nice trailer! You are right about those two little things that you aren't crazy about being easy to fix. Looks like you are off to a great start.

Happy Camping,
Terier

I'm interested in knowing more about your RV Wholesaler experience. We are going to be driving about 1500 miles very soon to be picking our new Rockwood 8286ws up.

I picked up a rockwood 2109S last month. From RV Wholesalers. The experience was good and the unit was priced $2500.00 less than the best deal I could negociate with local dealer for the same trailer. I probably drove further than most would,( Anaheim Ca.) but over all I saved a little over $2000.00 had I bought local. If you get a chance talk Talk to Levi Olgelsbee. He was very helpfull.
