Flag Pole Fabrication?

With our ROO I was able to put a flag pole mount on the awning leg because we disconnected the leg from the trl and placed it vertically. With the 2604 it has a power awning, no way to hook a pole mount to it. I don't want to fasten a pole mount to the side of the trl directly. Was thinking of fabricating a pole that the base would set under the hitch landing leg, and then hook into the ball hitch, to stabilize it with about a 10-15' pole. Anyone out there fab up something similar?

I have my flag mounted to a piece of electrical conduit. I screw on another piece of conduit for an extension at the campsite, and the flag is ready to fly. The mount also doubles for the pole on a hitching mirrow.

We did something very similar to Rockwood06. We used PVC lengths for the pole and set it on the rear TT bumper, then secure the 'pole' to the TT ladder on the back with a couple of bungee cords. The PVC lengths are held together with PVC couplers so they can be easily put together / taken apart for the best height and to store. The flag flies above the TT. Will try and get a picture next time we're out.

I use a push up pole attached to the side of the rear ladder with heavy duty wire ties. Works great for the flags and my wire antenna for ham radio.

OK FOLKS.....I got the straight scoop...and found the flag holder at flagsgalorenmore.com and hit on FLAGHOLDERS.
There is a 3 flag holder for $13.95, and a 5 flag holder ...like mine...for $15.95.
The company is in Arizona and according to my sister they are great folks to deal with.

What is with putting the flag up when you are camping? I see alot of pics of rigs with flags...in Canada, when I am out, I RARELY see Canadian flags up on rigs...I could understand putting up the Canadian flag if I was out of country...
I also understand about being patriotic....
Do you all have flags up at home as well?
Again, don't take this the wrong way as I am not being critical in ANY way...just curious as it is not something I see very much up here!

Yep, have a flag at home. I am a proud veteran and wish to display the American flag along with the LSU flag during football season. Takes me less than 5 minutes to put up and make ME feel good. That is my reason.

You will figure it out when they tell you (Not allowed to fly flags) I live & love the (United States of America) I will fly (Our) flag at any time & any place!! Youroo!! And yes I have a SS flag pole on our trailer!

Like kbrown1075, I too fly a flag at home, 24/7. It is a water resistant nylon flag, which allows me to fly it during wet weather. I have low voltage spotlights, which allows me to fly it at night. The only time it comes down is during high winds where it could get torn.

Unlike kbrown1075, I am not a veteran. But I want to show my respect for those that are, and those that have lost their lives fighting for the right so that I have the freedom to fly the colors.

I also fly the colors while camping, but currently I do not have spotlights for my flag, so I take it down every evening.

Flying home country colors is a personal decision. Just by having a flag in the yard or on a camper does not make any 1 person more patriotic than then next. Patriotism to me is a state of mind. I support my country, and those that are fighting for my freedoms. There are others with the same ideas that do not feel it necessary to fly a flag. There is no right or wrong with this, just personal preferences.
