Floor membrane in 1809S

I have a 2010 1809S. I was inspecting the underneath of the trailer when I noticed that the black, tar paper like material that's supposed to protect the underneath of the floor, is starting to delaminate from the floor and on the edges, is become tattered, especially at the back. I think some folks refer to this membrane as darco.

In a post over a year ago, a member of this forum, capucine, mentioned that he used blueskin around the edges to protect this membrane.

My question to capucine and others. Should I put blueskin over the darco, even though its loose in place, or should I find a way of rebonding the darco to the floor before applying the blueskin.

Ideally, I would have liked to put something under the whole floor to protect it, but that would be to expensive, especially to protect a trailer that doesn't seem like it was built to last.

To add to my previous post. On further inspection, I notice that the floor is getting soft underneath at the back of the trailer where the darco is separated. I guess this is what capucine was talking about when he mentioned poor design.

I talked to the dealer and they reminded me its two years past its warranty but they would look at it anyway.

I guess it would be a shame if FR couldn't help. I certainly would expect a trailer floor to last more that 3 years regardless of the warranty period.

I'll keep you all updated.
