We have an 09 Rockwood 8317ss. We too, had some major delamination problems. Ripples at the top on the side and hard bumps on the inside walls. We bought our trailer from Illinois and had it shipped to us in NJ. Our salesman was more than helpful to us, even 2 years after the sale!! He contacted Forest River for us and they agreed to fix it for a fee, as we were out of warranty. My husband and I felt that was unfair as this was obviously a manufacturing defect, not a maintenance issue. But, our salesman advised us to get the unit out to the plant and we would go from there. Feeling as though we had no choice, we had it transported back to the plant the day after Christmas.
Well, long story short, we just picked it up from the plant on friday and we are beyond pleased with their service. They wound up replacing both side walls, the back wall and the front wall as well as the entire roof!! They determined they all had water damage. While they had it they did a complete inspection of the unit and found the hitch light wasn't working (hadn't worked since we bought it) they replaced that, a floor vent that had a small crack in it that we were not even aware of and a bunch of other odds and ends. All this for no charge, as they said it was a manufacturing issue. They apparently had a problem with about 300 units close in serial numbers. Whatever the case, we are totally impressed with their service. We will forever be Forest River happy campers!!
