Frameless - How to open more?

I HATE my frameless windows as they don't open enough to do any good. I inspected them and notice that there is a plastic piece in the track (on the bottom of the window) that stops the mechanism (two silver arms) from opening more. Anyone know if I remove them will the window open more and HOW to remove them?
Thanks!!

Drill out the two rivets that hold the crank in. ..push out the crank mechanism. ..slide rollers out of the rail with the spacer and adjust to your liking.

If I drill out the rivet, how do I use my crank or how do I get it to stay in with no rivets?

You would need a rivet gun and rivets to reinstall the crank. Not difficult at all. Just don't drill out the whole rivet.. only drill out the head. That way you don't make the rivet hole bigger. You can find what you need at a home depot, Lowe's. .. menards or any other hardware store.

Had the same problem on my 2703ws in the bedroom. Only opened a couple of inches.
Dealer said it would take awhile to fix and I'd have to bring it back. Fixed it myself while camping on our first trip. Remove the screw holding the window in at the top. Slide the window off the track until the arm on the bottom comes out. Remove the plastic piece beween the arms and cut it to your desired length. I made mine open as far as the crank mechanism would allow. The window on the dining room opened much farther than the bedroom. Made that one open farther too. You may have to take the whole window out if you are doing it alone. Just slides right back in. Keep the pieces you cut off as you can always slide them back in.

I don't see a screw at the top. Inside or outside? left side, middle or right side? I see one on the top right but there is water sealant on it.

Sorry, hope I didn't miss lead you. All I know is mine has a screw at the top on one end or the other on the outside. Kind of like your awning has a screw in it to hold it in place. My windows slide all the way out so the piece of plastic between the arms can be cut. Mine is a 2013 2703ws with a crank bedroom and dining room window. One piece was alot longer than the other limiting the amount it would open. Good luck.

I guess we have slightly different windows as far as the screw goes...I don't see one. But I do have that plastic piece between the arms that needs to be made shorter. I will probably drill out the rivets and get at it that way. Thanks tho, so much, for helping me out.

Completed the mod today. drilled out the rivets, cut the 12 inch spacer down to 7in and re riveted the mechanisms. Did 5 windows in about an hour. I did notice that if you go much beyond about 7 inches, the track rollers start to bind and will probable start to wear out quickly.

The windows open much farther.

Great idea and I live this site.

Our 2013 doesn't have opening windows in the rear. Wish they did. Maybe the track isn't tight enough on the rollers. Can't be much different than the other windows.

I did my windows today. I removed one screw on top of the hinge and just slid the glass enough to let one arm out of the track.

Then I took the plastic stop out and slid the glass back making sure the roller was in the track. Then replaced the screw.

I did all three windows that had stops in the track. Didn't see the need to cut and replace the stop.

The bottom photos are the double window in the slide-out. One with stop and one without.

Thanks, Bob, but Andy's pics show what I needed to see.
It looks as if there would be a need to make sure the arms slide really, really easily on the window track given the lack of leverage such a steep (vertical) angle the arms arrive to.

The outer 2 or 3 inches of the arms is a thin spring that gives to compensate for the angle. The arms don't seem to move up and down much.
