X2, That's how my Surveyor is configured. Straps are hitched to the D rings and wrapped around the chairs to keep them secure.

Took mine out and got a nice Lift Top coffee table from Camping World and just sit on the couch which I moved forward. My 5er is only 30ft so anything unnecessary must go. Much roomier and the Laze-boys have more room to swing and recline.

Win-Win

We have never tied down the chairs, just put a towel over the top on one on each side so they don't rub together. Travelled about 5,000 miles this year and haven't noticed any damage to either chairs or table. I to wish there was a little more room for the table as on the back side by the slide window it is pretty tight and if someone is on the window seat they have to get in first and are stuck there until the other person moves. I like the idea of turning the table length wise as only the wife and myself and that may work better. I just lay our 2 island stools on their sides in behind the chairs nested together and works great.
