Fresh water tank

I’m hooking to city water to fill fresh water tank but tank is not filling. Is there a shutoff or anything I’m missing. Have a rockwood mini 2502

Most of the Mini's I've seen have a gravity fill for filling the tank. Should look something like this:

I'm not familiar with your unit. Your "hooking to city water" implies you don't have a gravity fill type opening where you just stick a hose in - but that you are screwing the hose into a fitting. Is that correct? Any chance you could post a pic of that fitting?

That's the city water connection, NOT for filling the FW tank.

I have water flowing into water pump but not out the other side. I don’t think previous owner ever filled water tank. Should pump be in on or off position when filling

You should have a cap/fitting like that shown in Post #2 above. Remove the cap, insert the end of a hose into it as best you can, and it gravity fills from the hose.

Note that in the pic in Post #2, there's a small screen at about the 7 o'clock position. That is your tank vent. Air should be coming out of it as your tank fills.

I attached a generic RV plumbing pic to your other post, here.

Your TT doesn't use your city water connection to fill the FW tank.

Pump should be OFF if your FW tank is empty or if using "city" water.

You might want to sanitize that tank if it hasn't been used or even if it has.

Here's a thread on sanitizing:

Purge all the air in the system by opening each water fixture to blow all the air out of the system.
