Furnace fan

Furnace fan doesn't come on. Checked breakers & fuses by three different people. All other DC appliances work fine. Fan will not come on. Suggestions?

Quick way to eliminate the thermostat is to remove it from the wall and tie the two wires from the furnace together. These are normally the white and black wire.

If the furnace begins to operate (fan runs) then the thermostat is defective.

You need to clarify the "jump the board" statement.

Are you referring to jumpering the thermostat, or jumpering something on the furnace circuit board?

That doesn't mean the stat is good only the fan. You need to jumper it at the stat first. As george said. Your stat contacts could be bad, all you know is the fan works.
