Furnace Power

We have a Rockwood (2011 Windjammer 3002W). We noticed the other night (when the furnace was on) that the camper was warm in the living room/kitchen (furnace nearby) but colder in the front of the camper (bedroom). We turned on the furnace and noticed very little air blowing in the bedroom furthest from the furnace. Is this normal? Any help?

I remember the heating/cooling hose not being connected properly in one of our previous trailers. I was able to detatch the vent and connect the hose properly that solved our issue. Just a thought.

We just purchased the same trailer and find that we have the same problem. I have not looked into it at all. I do know that when the furnace is running, each vent has less and less as you go further from the furnace. I may change the vents to ones that actually can close and close off the first couple to get the air moving to the bedroom at the front

We have the same issue in our 8312ss. The back bunk house gets very little heat. We are also thinking about putting a vent that closes to force more air to the rear of the trailer.

We have the same problem in the Windjammer 3065, we just purchased 2 electric portable heaters. The furnace uses allot of propane on continuous use, so with the electric fire place (Built In)in the living room,plus electric heaters in the bedroom & hallway/bath area. We can keep the camper 72-degree's or warmer all the time. We went camping during the fall last year before putting it up for winter. We stayed cozy warm !

You could always look at putting a booster fan in the duct to the bedroom.

hi all and thanks so much for your ideas!
Big Red, I notice that you have a Hensley Arrow No Sway Hitch. Does it work at good as they say? Our Windjammer 34ft pulls great until we encounter wind, and then it really moves. It is so bad at times, that it really wants to move the truck (F350) around. A bit of "white knuckling" in heavy winds. We have a Reese Cam Sway system installed, but it doesn't do the trick in winds
any thoughts?

typical furnace fans are very low volume. It is simpe logic. Too big of ducts, insufficient flow. Larger volume fan will ure the prolem. Of course more air flow will create lower outlet temps.

The front heating ducts are in the floor registers. My Flagstaff has two. One in the hall floor and one in the bath. We had guests in the LR so closed the hall pleated panel and the bathroom "pocket" door. We froze our tails off. Our very next upgrade was:

Lou looks like between your 2010 and the 2011, Rockwood decided to save $$$$. I only have a floor vent in the hall just outside the bath door and two in the liveing and kitchen area. There is also a heat vent in the storage area under the bedroom.
