We have been towing RV trailers of various sizes for more than 45 years. We have had numerous tire failures during that time, never because we exceeded the recommended speed limit, or inflation specs, or any other issue. The only common problem was that, in every instance of failure, the tire was manufactured in China, and made to look as if it had been made in the USA. Most of the tire failures were Goodyear Marathon trailer tires that looked just like the USA made tires, but the internal construction specs were evidently quite different. In some cases. the tires that failed had been manufactured several years before they had been placed upon the wheels of our "new" TT.
Lessons learned: (1) Always double check to make sure the tires on your new RV are Made in America, or at least somewhere other than China; (2) Always check the date of manufacture of each tire to make sure each one is less than a month or two old.
