I have used ours which we mount to the side of the TT (2104S). Haven't had any problems just cooking hot dogs or hamburgers. We use a boiler plate which we sit on the burner top of the BBQ. Works fine - just do not walk away while cooking and keep flame down to minimum necessary to cook.

I'm curious, does anyone think FR would put the rails on the trailer and sell a grille to mount on them to cook with if it was going to damage the trailer in some way? That would leave them open to lawsuits for damages at worst, for repair bills at the least.
I have one and I've used it a couple times, we're not big grillers, the side of the camper didn't even get warm and the awning is several feet above the grill, would have to have a big flame to reach it.

I suppose there are those that might use lighter fluid to start theirs!

Only a moron would use lighter fluid with a red piezo button right there.

I had have my unit going on 4 years. I'm on my second grill. From the time I get set up until the time I leave that grill is out being used almost daily. The only time it is not hanging on that side wall under my awning is if I only stop over night. I have never had a problem, and my trailer still looks like new. Conservatively I would say over 100 times to 125. We do all our meals on it when we camp. Sometimes even lunch, we never hardly use the stove at all.

Same location for ours and we use it often.
Must admit sometimes I wonder regarding the heat on the fiberglass siding but, have noticed no issues.
For us two, seems to be a perfect BBQ.

We set ours up as soon as we get to the campsite and it stays there the whole time. We use it once or twice a day and have never had any problems. Ours has legs to use to stand it up on a table and I have used it that way a couple times if I am cooking something that is greasy such as bacon or if I'm cooking something that is going to cause a lot of smoke.
