Grinding noise coming from trailer brakes

Hey everyone. Nice to be here. I'm a newbie here with my first question:

Pulling my trailer I hear a sometimes loud grinding noise coming from what I believe to be the driver side of the trailer. Obviously this is grounds to concern but before I tear into it I was wondering if soapy one could share some (if any) experiences they may have had with this issue.

Thanks again, I look forward to becoming an active, contributing member of this newly found forum !

What kind of hitch do you pull with? My Equal-i-zer 4 point causes all types of noise at slower speeds.

Yes I certainly know that noise...a bit much sometimes! :-) but no this isn't that, I'm certain I have it pinned down to the wheels/axles/brakes, etc.

May be time to jack one wheel at a time and check them. Bad bearings, brakes loose or broken can be a bad omen of worse things to come.
