Heat warping shower shroud
The heat certainly gets up there here in the Southwest, but we are not in Yuma, so I was surprised to notice a severe warping from heat on the shower ceiling shroud. Didn't notice it until I was up on the roof looking down thru the clear (for some reason) lexon shower bubble skylight cover. The heat had distorted the thin plastic shroud to the extent that its own plastic clear flat cover (inside) piece double-sided tape was no longer holding and separated from the shroud. The shroud was easily dropped from the inside to see the damage, and it was repaired using short panhead screws, caulking, and glueing (E6000 silicon glue) reflective foil to the top and sides of the shroud before re-installing it. We were already inserting a foam rubber piece into the shower shroud to knock out the sun from the shower/bathroom area. That really helped with the heat load. Now, we probably won't need it. Not sure why Rv manufactures think you need so much light in the shower. We have 2 LED lights there anway, so there is plenty of light to take a shower. Attaching a couple pics of the repair.
