Question heated mattress

Hi, we have on order the 2702ss and are wondering how comfortable the heated queen mattress is. We have had heated mattresses in our tent trailer and enjoyed the heat, but found they became compressed quite quickly and therefore not quite so comfortable.. Any opinions/suggestions? Thanks, Jen

Ours in our 2501ss isn't a bad mattress and is much thicker than the tent trailer variety. It is more like a conventional mattress, however, we still put a 2 in memory foam topper on it for comfort and it makes it sleep much better. The heat still works and feels good on those cold nights!

Thank Tomjsas, do you put the foam on the mattress or under it and if on top, can you feel the heat through it?

I was getting a sore back from mine and I also put the memory foram on it and no more backache! The foam goes on top and you still get the heat.

We purchased a heated mattress pad from walmart, it has dual controls. The heated mattress from Forest river only has one control. We put a foam topper on the mattress and the heated mattress pad over that. This way we have better controll on how warm you want the bed.

Yes, foam goes on top and as stated the heat comes through just fine.

Same here. my back used to hurt after the first nite. finally bought a eggcrate topper (cheaper than the memory foam) and cut to fit. now it is just as comfortable as our home matress. the heat comes through just fine.

Better to have a bad day of camping than a good day at work!

We added the 4" memory foam mattress topper from Wal-Mart on our bed & loved it so much we bought another for the house. And the heat still comes through the 4" just fine. Also added some reflective insulated material from camping world(cut to fit) to our bedroom windows so it's not too bright at 6a.m. We get up early each work day so alittle extra shut eye never hurts!
