Heating/Cooling Rockwood issue

We have a 8319 SS heat/cooling an issue in back bedroom, dealer is telling me all TT have this problem, then told me to buy a redirect for my heat, but live with it being over 80 when the air is on. Is this a design issue?

Floor ducted heat and ceiling ducted air?

Yes, both are having issues. Dealer said nothing can be done with the ceiling, but can buy floor vent to Force heat to bedroom.

When the a/c is on or just the fan is on, can you fell the air coming out of the ceiling vent and if so how strong is it and what temperture is the air? It has been known in some cases that the duct work could be block due to styrofoam in the air stream prior to the supply vent.

The other thing that does not help is the location of your out side storage area. We had an 8314ss Rock Wood and the bed room was in the front of the camper, the bed platform was raise and that was due to the out side storage area, there is no insulation in this area and it get hot in the summer and cold in the fall so this will effect the space that you are trying to condition.

There are a few things that can be done to help reduce the heat load and I have posted this on the forum......

On my low flow with ducted heat in floor most of my flow loss was due to the ducting that heats the underbelly.
I had them remove the duct work to the underbelly and also install closeable registers throughout.

I have an 2011 8319 and my bedroom is as cool and worm as the living area. I did replace the ceiling vents in the living area because the POS that came from factory fell apart when my TT was two months old. I have to find two for the bedroom now.

to fix the bedroom air problem do you have the dump vents open on A/C?

Yes we did that. Dealer is telling us all TT have this problem.

We have a flagstaff 831 RKSS 2012 bedroom in front TT , bunks in back . We have strong air through out the TT on ac , in Texas 95 degree heat it gets cold . The heat is good as well , but I am going to get some type of ceramic elec heaters , so using a lot of propane

Find another dealer to look at your problem
