Height of Rockwood 8285 WS

Hello All, I'm new to Fifth Wheel camping and this forum. I'm heading to Florida next week!

I have a 2011 Rockwood 8285 WS with the upgraded 15K roof mounted A/C. The brochure states the height at 12' 3". However, does anyone know the actual height of the 8285 WS with the upgraded A/C?

I can't really help you with this model but our 2008 RKBS Wildcat is listed as a height of 12' 4". We also bought the 15K A/C upgrade. When I physically measured the height of the fifth wheel while it was hooked up to the truck, it only measured 12' 2" at the highest point.
With that said, I still won't drive under any overpass that is marked less than 13'.

Thanks so much for the reply. No one must have measured theirs yet...I guess I will soon. Anyway, we left home early to beat the bad weather. We made it to southern Florida and are greatly enjoying the 80 degree temperatures.

I would add another 12" to the FR height just to make sure.
So 13 1/2' would be my guess.
Just duck at the next bridge that says 12 1/2'

Did you ever measure for the exact height?

I have not yet measured the height. I just got back home yesterday afternoon and 30 days in southern Florida was awesome! The lowest bridge I went under was 14 feet.

12'7" on mine

If you installed the MaxxAIR II's, the A/C is no longer the highest point. The MaxxAir II covers now become 12'7". So I round it off to 13 feet.
I also have the 15K A/C and the 8285WS. The vent cover for the front bedroom cover is now the highest point.

Ours is 12'4", same body as yours.
But we don't have vent covers on the front vents.

Wrong info !

I stated early the highest point was the MaxxAir II over the bedroom was the highest point. This was a mistake, actually the highest point on my 8285WS is the MaxxAir II vent cover over the bath vent fan. The cover is taller than the A/C by 2". As stated before, I just rounded it off to 13 FEET in height.

The actual measurement is 12' 7" -----with vent cover.
