Help! Door wont open!

Hello

We just picked up our brand new geo pro 16BH on Friday. We locked the doors overnight, and when I went to go in this morning, I unlocked both locks, and could pull the handle, but the door won't open. Any ideas on what I can do to get into our trailer?

Thank you

Su

Not familiar with your unit.
Mine hangs sometimes because of the stupid screen door. It will open if I pull on it.

Did you try and relock and try again? Push in on door and try? Pry gently on top or bottom of door up/down just a bit. Is it fairly level?

Once had a door problem when I raised the stabilizers too high. Try releasing some upwards pressure on them. Just a thought.

Had to do this for my brother-in-law last year. Is there access from storage compartment under a bed that lifts up ? Sorry...don't know layout of those Trailers. I crawled into his compartment pushed bed up, crawled inside and opened door for him.

This has happened to us on our 2509S a few times. You can try pushing in on the door, unlocking both locks, then pushing in on the door again (at handle), then pulling the handle and tugging briskly (not forcing mind you) on the door outward. Hopefully that will work for you.

Just had new door installer and it sticks at times. I grab it at the door handle and at the bottom of the door there is a lip that I can pull on, opens every time.....Good Luck.....

Make sure you're actually unlocking the door. On my Mini Lite, the dead bolt unlocks by rotating the key one way and the handle unlocks by rotating the key the other way.

Dealer also told me to always return the dead bolt key to the center position after unlocking the dead bolt. I don't really know if it's necessary, but I've always done it and have had no issues.

You might consider yourself Lucky,,,
Some folks get locked inside !!!
Locks like most all parts in our RVs come straight from China !!!
If you are lucky enough to get them unlocked,,, Lube them with Dry Lube,,
Often !!!

We had the same thing happen - twice. The first time we were inside the camper & DH had to use a table knife as a screwdriver to take off the door handle. (Lesson learned there - tools are now reachable from INSIDE!) Once he put it back together, all worked well ... until it didn't. That time we were locked out so I crawled inside thru a compartment with a screwdriver, removed the door handle & got it open. That's when we ordered a new lock!
