Help! draining batteries

If your fridge is a Dometic, you probably have the heater. The thread will talk about how people have taken the fridge apart to permanently cut the wires to the heater.
But if you want a simpler solution, go to the outside fridge vent, open the vent and then open the box over the fridge's control board. Look for the jumper that connects the fridge light, it'll be something like J1 or J2. I don't remember exactly which, but I was able to spot mine easily by looking at the schematic included back there.
If you unplug that it kills power to the fridge light and the heater. You'll be without a fridge light but it'll get you by until you decide what you want to do as a more permanent fix. This is the approach I plan to take if I ever need to dry camp since it'll pretty much only be a one time thing for us.
If you don't have a Dometic, I'm not sure what the procedure is, you'll have to go to the other thread.
