Help! Stabilizing Jacks

I have a 15 month old Rockwood 8327ss with Lippert electric stabilizing jacks! My front one will NOT extend. It makes the noise and then cuts off. Nothing? I am on shore power and the back unit works well. I have checked fuses? Any ideas??? Thanks

We have a Salem Hemisphere and have had the front and the back stabilizer control (or whatever it is called) go out. They needed replaced (two different times). Our unit is just over one year old. The first went out after we had it a few months and the second went out this summer. Our RV repair just orders a new one and then installs it. Do you happen to have the Android tablet in your RV? If so, the stabilizers will work off of that, even if the manual outside control is not working. That being said, this summer our tablet went out at the same time, so the stabilizers did not work at all until we had the tablet and the control replaced.

The manual handle will not work unless you unhook power from the motor!! Plan to take unit to a local repairman tomorrow! Most dealers are VERY slow on any repairs!!

Got it done!! My neighbor came over and he turned the manual crank down HARD as I pushed the extend button. Apparently stuck in place! My problem was retracting the jacks TOO long and it stuck the stabilizers. Most know this but NEVER hold the switches too long!!! Bring them up gradually the last several inches! Thanks for every ones help!!

Good to have a neighbor who is willing to help out!

And thank you for posting the fix, it may help someone with a similar issue.

Watch as the last jack in the pair being raised nears the top bracket. NEVER let the axle at the point where the brace joins the main leg to contact the upper bracket. That's when the jam occurs.
