Exclamation Help! Water everywhere when showering!

I have a Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s, when taking a shower I end up with a flood in my camper. It's not a plumbing issue, I believe the shower pan is just too low or shallow-a poor design. Does anyone have a fix? We love everything else this is the only issue we have.

Thanks,
Tracy

Either you have more water running in than your drain can handle or you are not level! Youroo!!

No, I don't run much water, we are typically at state parks with no sewer hook up. We also make sure we are level.

Lots of folks install shower splash guards to help keep the curtain in. Wondering if that may be your problem.

You have a curved glass enclosure, right?

I had Jayco expandable with a shallow shower pan. There was so little room in the shower that the shower curtain was easily moved and leaked all over. I sewed a bunch of velcro tabs along both sides of the curtain and put the "hooks" on the wall to take care of it.

Not necessarily...........the curved shower with doors is new for 2016. there may be some late 2015's with it.

No, there is a curtain. If I had doors I am sure that would solve the problem.

I have a 2016, however it has a curtain and not doors. I have looked at some other models that have a little bit larger shower and those all have doors but my model doesn't?

Because the model year change over is anything but consistent. You have a 2016 per the yellow sticker/ VIN number but it was probably built while they were trying to use up the supply of the old style neo angle shower bases they still had. Its not unlike the Roo's for 2016. Supposedly the 23WS replaces the 23SS and on the website and new 2016 brochure the 23SS is no longer shown, yet you can do a web search and find some 2016 model year 23SS units.

Hence the disclaimers that always say they reserve the right to change specs without notice.

Having had two other brand hybrids with the same size shower as your 2104, it takes practice to shower in one of those without having the flood.

Yes, thank you. I may have to try some of the suggestions like splash guards and velcro. I appreciate everyone's input. Thank you!

I'm not sure if it's applicable to your shower design, but I installed splash guards in my shower. Greatly reduced the amount of water in the floor when taking a shower.

If it has a door check the bottom seal a strip of rubber in a narrow groove.

Once you have ruled out a leak underneath the shower pan, it is probably a leaky glass panel seal or the gasket underneath the door. You can investigate this by running the shower head directly against each shower glass panel and the shower door and have someone see if that is the leak source.

If the shower glass panels are leaking near their frame, it means you need to remove the glass panel seal bead and redo the seals. If the gasket on the door is torn or deformed, it may need to be replaced.

I added command hooks to hook the curtain in a bit on the ends. We would have water push around the curtain from splashing. I also cut the curtain to not lay on the floor. When it did it tended to bunch on the shower / tub edges and allow the water to leach through.
