Hide-A-Bed Does Not Stay Closed in Transit

We have a brand new Rockwood Ultra-lite model 2608WS. Been on the road only three times thus far but each time, the Hide-A-Bed opened up in transit and slammed against the bathroom door. Is there some sort of latch to hold the sofa bed shut (in the sofa position) during transit? I would hate to have to wedge something in there to keep it closed but also don't want a big hole in my bathroom door either with it slamming into it. Anyone else have this problem and what have you done to resolve it? Thanks for all your help.

I have the same deal with mine. There are some hooks on the back of the couch and a metal frame coming up out of the floor. It seems the hooks on the couch should line up and latch with the frame out of the floor but it's not happening. I hope someone has figured out to latch the couch because I can't do it.

You are correct I also figured it out and it worked fine . You have to pick up on the front seat cushion part and push in a little and lay it back down it should hook . open the bed and locate the hooks on either side so you can see what you are trying to accomplish it took me a couple of tries but once you do it you'll say I cant believe how easy it is good luck

Are you doing something other than what's shown in this video? I lift the cushion just like shown here but no latch.

I figured mine out quickly on my 2905SS after someone else explained it. If you take off the back cushion and stick your fingers down in one of the back corners, you should be able to feel a little post on the sofa frame, then on the seat frame you should be able to feel a little hook. Just lift up on the front of the seat cushion frame while sliding it back a little and then drop the front. It should now be hooked in, but if it doesn't hook, try to lift the cushion frame a little higher while pushing back and it will hook. Can't believe how easy it was once I was told where the hooks are located.

I was able to get this figured out with all your help. It can take a little bit of trying but once you figure out how high to hold the cushion frame when pushing it in, it hooks every time. For me, when I push the seat frame in, I have to hold it about a foot and a half high and when I get to the last four inches or so, I have to give it a nice push (not to hard but not too gentle either). Then let the seat frame go straight down and it now latches every time.

Thanks for the help!

I knew I couldn't be the only one

Just picked up my Flagstaff 27VRL last Saturday and by the time I got home the sofa had unfolded. Now I know what to look for.
