Hitch ball?

What size hitch ball for rookwood mini lite model 1809s?

The standard is 2 and 5/16 inch. About the only thing with a 2 inch ball is a pop-up.

If you have the trailer, it is written on top of the coupler.

My trailer is 2".
As far as I can tell there is no standard.
IF the GW is under 5000 it can be either 2 or 2 5/16
The only way to know for sure is read the fine print on the hitch coupler.

I always wondered why the different sizes.Wouldn't it be easier to just make all of them 2 5/16 and be done with it or is there an advantage to having the smaller hitch ball when you don't need the extra strength of the bigger one?

The Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S is on a 2 inch ball.
