Holding Tank Question...

I have a 09 Rockwood 2701ss. I was wandering if the two gray water holding tanks feed to each other. They both empty through a common valve. Any help is appreciated.

Probably not. Most have a separate outlet and dump handle. Move this to Rockwood forum, hopefully someone here has one and will be of more help.

As I said, they both empty through a common valve...that would mean that they don't have a separate dump handle.
Since you have moved my post to another forum could you please tell me how to get there, just in case someone does have an answer to my question.

Click on 'Portal" in the menu bar across the top. That takes you to all posts regardless which forum.

I'm surprised that you have three tank and only one outlet. Both of our Rockwoods had/have 3 tanks and two outlets. If there's only the one outlet, the gray and galley tanks must be piped together.

That's what I'm thinking Dave. I had a Flagstaff before this Rockwood and it had a separate dump valve for both the galley and gray tanks, but this Rockwood has only one for both tanks. I'm hoping that they cross feed so I won't have to dump them until they are both full. That's 50 gal. as opposed to 25 gal before dumping.

Just a follow-up...We went dry camping last week and found that the gray and galley tanks do cross feed after about 1/3rd full. That's good news for us.
