Holding Tanks Sizes

I just bought a 2005 Rockwood Trailer. Know nothing about it. It is a Ultra light #2603. Can anyone tell me the sizes of the holding tanks. Thanks for any help.

I found a 2007 brochure and it was fresh 31 gal, gray and black 25 gal

I'm kind of new at this myself after getting our first TT last Oct. I was questioning the tank sizes in ours since there was no specific owners manual for our TT and only a very brief one page printout that listed our fresh water tank size at 40gal and the grey and black at 32gal each. What got me to thinking about size was how fast the grey and black seemed to reach the 2/3 full mark on our first camping trip. I think it happened after only two days. In checking other dealer sites on the internet for the same model TT, there is a big range of tank sizes listed so apparently they are not simply a standard size for a specific model number. I'm thinking a check with the manufacturer using a Vin number might be the only way to get a true size. I also wondered if the tanks are marked in some way but I can't see anything on mine as I look underneath.

Even then they will just change things as they see fit... Might just need to break out a bucket and measure until full. So many times I've read threads where people are upset because the paperwork / brochure said 50 gallons and they had 20..

You'll learn by reading threads here that tank level sensors are notorious for bearing false witness. They lie! All it takes is grease, toilet paper, shrimp tails (well, maybe not that) on sensor probes to make your panel show incorrect readings. My galley gray is often wrong but I'm working on that.

Hopefully you are not relying solely on the crappy (pun intended) level gauges in most units. They are very inaccurate at best. A piece of toilet paper hanging from one of the sensors can create enough conductivity to show a full tank when it really isn't. Keeping the tank clean and flushed helps but the indicators are a crap shoot! (pun intended again!)

X2 or 3. My black tank has read full since my first weekend. And I religiously use chemical and calgon treatment to keep things "slippery" but, I guess that doesn't apply to sensors.

I agree.. Did the Horst Probes, done the Calgon, done the packets, done the ice... They always just read wrong. Learned to just wait for the burp to know its time to dump.
