Hole in floor under the bathroom sink?

Purchased a brand new Rockwood fifth wheel and was putting thing in it and opened the door and could see right outside due a square hole cut out and the basement door was open? The dealer thinks it for a hamper for clothes? But if that was the case should their be a square hamper in there? So you just throw your clothes in the bottom storage? Any ideas?

When I was shopping for a new trailer, I ran across several that had exactly what you are describing (not always in the same location). It was simply a hole into the basement storage labeled "laundry chute" on the floor plans. No, I don't think it is a good idea.

Yep, that's what it is. I have one in my 02 wildcat. I love it. Put a laundry basket under it. I put a hinged door on mine using a kitchen cabinet door from an old trailer.

Yep, laundry chute.
Our Flagstaff had one under the bathroom sink and came with a white plastic laundry basket.

I promptly filled the hole with a wooden board and sealed it shut.

Yep. Laundry chute. Ours came with a round basket but we put a big square one underneath, instead. Love it.

Speaking of holes. Why do they drill a 2" hole for a 1/2" pipe ? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Our Cardinal cane with a rectangle laundry shoot opening under the bath sink. I didnít want to give up storage spac so put the basket in the closet and cut some 5/8Ē plywood the size of the cabinet floor to cover the opening.

That is so the mice have enough space to get in.

It's the Fire Pole concept, 50 inch opening for a firefighter to slide down to the truck, 2inch hole for the rodents to slide down to the basement.
