Hook new TV to Genesis

I have a 2013 Rockwood 8325 TT. The TV slides down into the entertainment center but I have replaced it with a larger TV that just sits on the counter. I did this a while ago and didn't try a DVD so I must have missed something when I put the new one in. Does anyone know how to hook the Genesis to the new TV?

The Genesis has a HDMI output on its backside and your new TV should also have a HDMI input. You may have to remove the Genesis from the wall to access the HDMI output if you did not already have the HDMI cable connected to your old TV.

I'll check on that but I don't seem to remember an HDMI cable end hanging around in the cabinet where the old TV dropped down. BUT I'll take another look....have to take the fireplace out to get there so will check on it tomorrow. Thanks!!

More then likely your Rockwood did not come with a HDMI cable I know mine didn't. Mine came with only RCA jacks, make sure your Yellow jack is plugged in both the TV and the yellow wire in the back of the Genesis. If your going to use HDMI there is a plug in on the back of the unit, you will need to pull the unit out. I have the Genesis 3.0.. PS: There is also a fiber optic line plug in also, some of the new TV's do not come with jack outlets anymore....

Well that could be true, but my statement was that the Genesis 3, also has an optical connection in the back. I have one and installed that an a HDMI cable. I have good surround sound, and great DVD not blue ray. But I have not bought a new CD in years. Aren't you supposed to be hunting or repairing that snowmobile?.....

Hook new tv to Genesis

We have a 2013 Rockwood 2608ws and ours has the cable -cable and a yellow rca cable that's all you need for your DVD/'s a to work.I bet the yellow cable fell behind fireplace when you removed old tv. Those are the only 2 cables besides power cable.

I FOUND IT!!!! I had to remove the fireplace and hunt through a ton of wires and cable to finally come across an HDMI cable not hooked to anything. Hooked it to the TV and it worked.
