Your converter should still put out 12v
Regardless of inline fuse to battery.
There's only a breaker in the fuse panel for converter.
Look in the files section on upper left hand of this page.
Look up your converter there's a detailed trouble shooting guide but most likely you fried your converter.
Don't feel bad it happens more than you think.
Do yourself a favor if it is bad replace your unit with a progressive dynamics if it isn't already. My guess it's a wfco brand currently installed.
The converter works perfect when plugged into 110v - I just have no 12v
There is most likely either an inline fuse or inline resettable breaker.
On MY TT it's fastened to the frame rail just behind the LP tanks underneath
the trailer.
You have a 5er so I don't know where you should look but start at your
battery and follow the large wire back from there.
A fuse or breaker is most likely fairly close to the battery.

Most converters have two auto style fuses to protect against this Look on the end of the unit in a holder attached almost flush with the unit. Both fuses can blow or just the positive.
Under the cover of the power center, to the left of the circuit fuses are TWO Orange 40 amp "reverse connection" fuses. Their ONLY job is to blow if you hook up the battery backwards. They disconnect all 12 volt power to the camper to protect your electronics.

If there is a problem, test your + lead to the battery for a short to ground.
That does not seem likely though because the 40's are intact. Also as in a previous post check to see if you have positive voltage to the battery (with the converter on) terminals by using a DVM (digital volt meter) or analog if you have a working one.
One other thought did the negitive battery wire come disconected from the frame?
Also I would think that there would be no splice in the wire from the battery to the converter to fail unless there is a fuse or circuit breaker to protect it from a short.
BTW The pdf that Herk posted tells how to troubleshoot the no 12v problem and tells what voltage should be present at the terminals.
