Does it only do this when you are running off electric? Mine did this twice when I was using electric only and, when it was working correctly, I would get temperature variances of almost 10 degrees on hot days. I switched over to gas and the freezer doesn't get warmer than 5 degrees and the fridge gets no warmer than 37 even if it is 98 outside.

You're at a higher elevation......if you're using gas instead of electric....that's probably your problem. The elevation is causing your problem.

Dometic refrig. Junk?

From day one, five years ago, the refrigerator worked on and off. On electricity,or gas ,it would run for a month or sometimes a day. then cut out. I turn it on and off and it runs again. maybe 2 or 3 months, sometimes a day.
Anyone had the same problem?
Ps.Seems like it should switch to propane and cool if problem with elec.
