How long are orders taking
Curious if you ordered a Rockwood how long it took to get your TT or how long you were told if you did order? We ordered almost 2 weeks ago and was told 6-7 weeks but not sure if they were blowing smoke or not. I am going to f/u end of this week to see if they have an offline or delivery date yet. I ordered from RVW and they are pretty close to the Rockwood plant so delivery to them might be much quicker than delivery to CA so knowing your selling dealers location might make a difference. tks

We ordered from RVW and we were able to jump our order to one of thier orders. It still took 5-6 weeks. The time of year also makes a difference. We started looking in June of 2010 at that time RVW told us a custom order would take 8-12 weeks depending on scheduling at the plant because they run different models at the same factory. So your timing sounds about right !

It took ours about 6 weeks from the order to finish it and another couple of days to get it prepped and delivered.

Wonder when the mfrs beef their workforce back up. I know when I had some warranty work done on my current TT in November, CW said the mfrs work on skeleton crews after the camping season winds down. Wonder if they pick up after the first of the year or beg of February. Seems like 6-8 weeks should be expected so hopefully we'll have it before April 22nd as we have a 1 week trip planned to Myrtle beach. We ordered on Feb 24.

Thanks. So, did you order from a local dealer or have to travel to get it. Did it arrive at your dealer today and you picked it up today or had it been there for awhile and it fit your schedule to get it today. Mine will be a 7 hour drive and not sure how long a dealer takes to prep them and do a pdi when they arrive. I'm already thinking our won't be here for our April 22nd trip now.

Local dealer that was an hour and a half south of me
took a week to be delivered to the dealership after it was released from production and then It actually arrived at the dealership on wednesday March 2nd -
Took a week to PDI, install the Grab Handle and (2) two Max Air Covers and then setup a appointment because they were also installing my hitch as well.
I had a few small issues and gonna call the factory about the Storm Windows cause they just cover the existing windows and makes it to where you cant open the windows

That gives me a little hope. Since RVW is a few hours from the Rockwood plant it may take a day or two to get there once released. I'll just have to push them to prep it if I think I will be up against our trip dates. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the new TT. Other than the screens, anything else you find wrong or need fixing.

screens were ok - the issue I have is the storm window option makes the windows un-usable unless I remove the storm window itself worst design cause I was thinking storm windows just meant they were double pained glass - wishful thinking - going to be calling the factory about how to remove them if I can
only issue's I saw on my unit were a few nick's in the cabinetry, a foot print on one of the piece's of wood under the seat cushion for the dinner table and a few grease marks - other then that I couldnt have asked for a better looking trailer to be delivered to me

Great. What state are you in. My buying experience was the opposite. I shared RVW's price with 4 dealers including the one I bought our 2010 from last May. 2 would not even offer a quote as they could not compete and the other 2 were over $2k more. None of these dealers were local either(all 2 hours+ away). RVW is 7 hours. So an extra 10 hours in the Truck was worth $2k to me. Glad your local dealer was competitive but looking at RVW's price I can see why noone could touch it. They deeply discounted it.

I noticed one thing when I bought my trailer - if they deeply discount the trailer - look at the options prices cause after comparing a few places for the trailer they were very close but what seperated them was the options price - that is where they are making there money - not so much on the unit itself.
I also realize they are in business to make money - but not to make a killing of me though if I can help it anyways LOL

I live in Wisconsin and sent my model number and options list to two rockwood and two flagstaff dealers all are wihin an hour from me. I informed all who I sent it to and asked for their best price. two dealers where well under RVW's price so it came down to faric choices as one was a Flagstaff and the other was a rockwood.

I hope you did as good as you think. Even though RVW has a low price listed, I was still able to knock off an additional $2,500 off that. Had I not gotten the extra $2,500 off I would have had all the dealers competing at that point and of the two that did give me a price one would have beaten RVW'ers.

The only reason I am going from a Rockwood to a Flagstaff is the fabric colors. My DW liked the colors better on the Flagstaff. (I did to, but don't tell her!)
