How to track a build.

Hey everyone! So I've been a Rockwood owner for about 3 years now. I had a freedom 2280. Loved it but it seemed to shrink lately. So yesterday I ordered an ultralite 2905SS. I'm really exited to revive it in the spring. What I'm wondering though is how do I track my build? I've seen some people talk about it on here. Nothing was mentioned to me by the dealer. Can this be done once I get my VIN?

I just took delivery of an ordered unit about 4 weeks ago. My experience is that the VIN is determined when it hits the assembly line. The unit would be done shortly after that. Your dealer can call the mfg. rep to see when it is scheduled to enter the line or maybe come off the line.

Remember. Just because the unit is done does not mean it will be shipped out right away. You have to wait until the dealer gets it and they have no control over that unless they go get it.

You should expect to wait about 8-12 weeks. With the economy booming like it is, they cannot build these things fast enough.

Good luck,

Vin.

Ya. My dealer said it will arrive with his ordered units some time in February. The way some people were commenting on other posts it sounded like there was some sort of site to go to where I could type in my vin and it would tell me "your unit in getting the walls out up" or something like that.

I've been told 10 weeks by my dealer, also that the holidays will probably delay delivery. No information on the ability to track the build, would be nice...
