Huge Scratch
Hi does anyone know where you can get matching paint for an RV, we just purchased our new 2106 Windjammer 3008W and we got a large scratch on the trim  , driving me nuts, need to get it fix ASAP before we store it. Thank you

So how did the scratch get there? Was it there when you bought it? If so take it back for warranty and get it replaced. Later RJD

No I did it with the mower! Didn't realize I got that close to it I have been in touch with Rockwood but they get all there items prepainted so they can only give me the color  Thank you for your response.

its the piece by the bedroom door, trim along bottom of trailer, color is mocha but having a hard time matching the color,

Your best bet would be to call Forest River and ask them. Your dealer may know, but Forest River WILL know.

I have been in touch with them and to no avail, they only know the code but I have gone to paint stores and cant get a match! Have sent them another message today.

If you can provide a auto motive paint store with a chip they can match the color. Later RJD

Any really good body shop can match just about any color. They will use a Spectrophotometer to match the existing paint to what they will custom mix. I've had 50 year old classic cars touched up using this technology and I can't see the difference. New paint should be really easy for them to match up.

A Pic is real Helpful,there are several pieces by the Bedroom door,some are Plastic,some are Aluminum,some are coated sheet metal! You say a Scratch,will this have to be Repaired/Filled befoe Paint? All lower body parts can be Removed/Replaced. Sidewall damage is a Back to Factory Job! Paint match is the easy part,repair is the more involved part!  Youroo!!

No, unfortunately. The reason is not all cameras, printers, and PC's are equally capable of showing an exact color. And just being a couple shades off can be very obvious...
When we had our "W" full body paint touched up under warranty the body shop still used a spectrophotometer even though I had the OEM paint codes.

Look up an automotive paint supply like Sherwin Williams Automotive Paints. Give them the paint code and they can put it in a spray can for you for about $30

If all you want is to match the color for repair any good auto paint supply house can custom mix you an aerosol can to make the repair. [emoji106]
