Interesting discovery

When I removed the microwave to install a under cabinet coffee maker - among the many wires I find a 10 AMP fuse connected to the battery/tank monitor. Sure glad I found out if the monitor quits working one needs to remove the microwave to replace the fuse! Makes one wonder how many other hidden fuse holders there are.

Is your monitor panel part of the range hood? We had a Holiday Rambler with a fuse like that. When I finally found the trouble with our panel (that fuse) I modified the wiring to make it accessible for future problems. Of course, it never gave us any more problems.

I removed the Microwave to install under-cabinet lights, and that's where I found the range fan/light fuse.

There IS a big mess of wires in such a small place.

I pulled off the centre panel next to the microwave in our trailer, and there was a safety wire with a loop, like you see on a ceiling fan or heavy light. It disappeared into the wall, but was not attached to anything. I am thinking it was their for some option that we do not have. I am going to check and see if we have a fuse as well, because there is some sort of wiring harness there.

Sure glad you posted this! I had evidently let a bit of a freeze occur prior to winterizing, so when I turned on the pump to circulate anti-freeze, nothing happened. I went crazy trying to find out why there was no power getting to the pump....then read your post, removed the micro-wave and there was the blown 10 amp fuse! Water pump is A-OK with a new fuse....

Now why would they put it there, and not mention it in the owner's manual??? Sheesh!
