Intermittantly stinky toilet

We noticed a toilet odor from time to time. It seemed to come and go for no apparent reason. I called RVW and their customer service guru asked for my toilet's model and serial numbers. (Apparently Dometic had some issues with a run of their toilets.) I won the jackpotty and had a new toilet arrive last Friday (no cost or shipping). I'll install it when we return from Tybee Island next week and see if that solves the odor issue.
If RVW hadn't told me about the replacement opportunity, I'd have never known. They're good folks, IMHO.

I had the same issue, as have many others. Instead of replacing the 300 with another 300 I upgraded to the Model 320... https://www.dometic.com/enus/America...tdataid=107354

This is a real toilet size and is made of porcelain, not plastic. I actually replaced the seat with a real toilet seat that has the slow close feature so it does not slam.

If you decide to do this, just make sure it fits. It is also 18 inches tall, which is nice also.

Be careful when you remove your Model 300. The reason you get the odor is that the seal between the top half of the toilet and the base failed and has allowed stinky liquid to seep in and it is puddled in there. Do not tip when you remove or you may be in for a surprise

I couldn't find the weight on that link. Do you know what the 320 weighs as opposed to the 300?

From my search the 300 weighs ~13 lbs and the 320 weighs ~37 lbs.. Hopefully that is not a deal breaker. 24 lbs or about 3 gal of water more weight.

She will love it. Just make the measurement to ensure clearance.....

I'm sure if she clears the present toilet she will have no problems with the new one.
