Inverter blows fuse on 2109S

Has anyone had this problem?
We just purchased a new Rockwood 2109S.
I have an inverter (converts 12v DC to 110v AC), a small Xantrex, 150 watt output, 15 amp current draw.
It has worked fine on my previous trailer when we had the occasional need for it.
Since, for some odd reason, Forest River spec'd a 110v only TV I thought I would plug in the inverter to run the TV for the times when we are dry camping.
Yesterday I plugged the inverter into the 12v socket provided in our trailer and it promptly blew the 15 amp fuse in the trailer power panel.
I thought maybe there was a short in the inverter's cigarette lighter plug but everything was fine.
I replaced the fuse and it happened again. Note that I had the switch on the inverter in the off position each time so there was no load being presented to the circuit.
I then took the inverter over to my truck and plugged it in both 12v sockets and it worked fine.
I plugged a small portable 12v fan into the trailer socket and that worked fine also.
I increased the fuse size to 20 amp and then 25 amp and each time I plugged in the inverter it blew the fuse.
So I feel I've exhausted all possibilities and I'm left scratching my head.
Why did the inverter work fine in our old RV, continues to work fine in any other 12v socket, but blows the fuse in the Rockwood?

Could the 12 volts socket in the trailer not wired properly: center pin should be positive and outside negative?

BINGO! Thank you so much Fonzie.
I put my multi tester to the socket and sure enough the leads were reversed.
I pulled the little board containing the cigarette lighter socket and 2 USB ports out and not only were the CL socket leads reversed but so were the USB ports - that is assuming that the USB plug is hooked up the same as the CL socket; with the positive lead going to the center post and the negative going to the outer one?
Think of all the electronics that could have been fried by the improperly wired USB plug in?
So some worker at the factory miswired the sockets? Makes you wonder about quality control. They do the same job day after day and they managed to mistake the red wire for the green wire.
The inverter works fine now.

Now I think I know why my iPod doesn't work any longer.
I plugged it into the miswired USB port to charge it up.

The TV runs fine on the inverter by the way.
This 24" TV pulls 32w so the 150w inverter handles the load just fine with no hum or video noise from the inexpensive inverter.
The picture is great and the adjustable mount is really handy.
This is really a well laid out trailer - perfect for the 2 of us.

A follow up to this thread:
I spoke with a really helpful service rep, Fred Yoder, at the factory, explaining my problem with the miswired 12v sockets. As I mentioned, the USB port burned out my iPod when I plugged it in to recharge it.
Fred asked me to send him this thread and my receipt for the reconditioned iPod I purchased as a replacement.
He called on Fri to tell me that Forest River would be sending me a check for the replacement iPod.

Thanks Fred & Forest River!!

Well that's what I call good service.

A follow up to this thread: We recently took the trailer out for it's maiden run 3 week camping trip.
I noticed that any device plugged into the USB charging ports would not charge. Once we got home I tested the voltage coming out of the USB ports and it was .05v where it should be 5v, a hundred times difference.
This had to be due to the factory mis-wiring of the charger module.
I called Fred Yoder again at Forest River and left him a message detailing my problem. That was over a week ago and he has not returned my call.
Luckily, I also put in a message to the manufacturer of the charger module, Griffin Technology, and they are sending me a new USB plug.
Sometimes the factory responds and sometimes they don't I guess.
Has anyone else had this mis-wiiring problem with their Rockwood?

This sure is going to make me check into this as well. When i charged my phone from that usb port it got phone extremely hot and took way too long to charge. Also I noticed as soon as I plugged phone up to charge the radio became very static while listening to our local station. It then wouldn't really pick up any other radio channels untill I unplug the phone. Weird or wired wrong?
