You have to hold the #3 button down for about 3 seconds in order to adjust the volume outside. I read somewhere on this forum because we couldn't turn ours down! Hope this helps!
PS We are also proud owners of a 2017 Rockwood 2506s! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we are enjoying ours!

IRV Radio problems..

I have the irv66 in the living room and the irv34 in the bunk room.

This weekend was the first time out, and we didn't have problems with either.
Son figured out how to get his running and had surround sound while playing XBox.

Only thing that bothers me on the 66 is the display doesn't read exactly right.
For example scrolling through AM/FM it says AM all the time. The A never changes to F on the display.
Doesn't bother me too much, it's just a display/electronic glitch.
I noticed it during the PDI and mentioned it to them. They offered to order a new one, but I figured if everything else worked correctly, I could live with the A/F problem.

Also, the irv app to control the thing works great!
Sitting outside I could change the radio station and adjust the volume. 👍🏻

"IRV app" - ? Would this only work with the 66 unit, or does it work with the slightly older 33 units?

In your 2017 you should have the IRV34. Hold down button 3 and then you can adjust exterior volume as others have said. After a few seconds it will default back to controlling zones 1 and 2. You can also have a different source on zone 3 such as FM while you have something else playing inside such as a CD.

Believe it or not they sell these pieces of junk for $399 at Crutchfield . But it was also the same when they sold Jensens. I guess since its made to be RV specific that justifies over pricing.

It will sound a lot better if you verify all the speaker wiring is done correctly. More often than not they'll have it wired wrong. They do some idiotic things like have one speaker on zone 1 left channel and another on zone 2 left channel............ They typically pay no attention to polarity either. When I say it will sound better take that with a grain of salt. You would be hard pressed to find speakers that are cheaper and lower quality than what they use. You would have to work at it.

Not sure about the 33 units, but I know for sure it works with the 34 and 66.

The 2506S is a Mini Lite and will have the 34, or possibly the 33, depending on its actual build date.

As far as what one our Roo was built mid April and came with the 34. A friends built early April had the 33.

Ok.. thx guys for the info.. I did make the outside speaker volume work by holding down the #3 button.. And yes, mine is a 34

Next question, Can't figure out how to play a DVD.. TV says no signal..pushed every button on both remotes.. sounds like an "input" problem.. I assume all the proper cables are hooked up from the factory..

On mine, you have to switch the "Source" via the TV remote to either HDMI or one of the other ones (can't remember exactly - but there are only 4 choices: TV, PC, HDMI and something else).

IRV

Change the source to HDMI on tv. Also, we had a face palm moment when we tried to play blu Ray s in ours. It's a DVD player and will only play DVD s. Not blu Ray discs.

2016 Roo 23WS with IRV33. When we turn on the outside, zone 3 speaker it plays FM radio, even if we have the TV on with sound inside. How do we change zone 3 to anything else? Thank you.

If I remember correctly, you hold down the zone 3 button and then change the source to whatever it is you want to listen to: tv, dvd, am radio, etc. Can't tell you for sure because our 2506 is in for service (small things to repair after our 1st long trip after purchasing it in April), so I can't double check. I know we had this problem because my daughter put a dvd in and it was playing outside when we wanted to listen to the radio.

Hope this helped!

Well my irv33 worked fine 6 weeks ago when we got the new 21ss but now it won't turn on. It does have power. The power button is lit red but won't turn on. Anyone have any ideas. Plan to call Monday to warranty claim it.

My 33 in my 2016 2306 RWML just doesn't care to pair on Bluetoof [sic] on my phone- Samsung S5

It will, however, pair and connect on my S4 and the app actually works.

Result- useless app. With ratings on Google Play of the highest being 2.2/5.....says it all.

I do hate the moving "sound level" indicator.

Why doesn't the outside volume (channel/speaker 3) have the same level as 1&2? I've tried the 3 second trick, but it didn't work.

The unit has played DVDs fine for me.

During the winter I'm probably going to gut it and put in a real system. Depends how ambitious I get.
