joining the Rockwood branch of the family

We took the plunge today and traded in our '08 Flagstaff 831RLSS on a new 2013 Rockwood 2502S. We love the smaller size - we've wanted to return to national/state park camping, and needed a camper that will give us more options for campsites in these places, rather than always looking for long pull-thru sites. Just brought it home this evening, and we're looking forward to getting used to a camper instead of a moving vacation cabin again.

Congrats and enjoy your new rig. Lots of beautiful sights at those national and state parks not to mention better rates.

Thanks, folks! Gserve, I wonder why the hubs look different? Different years, maybe.
The caps are virtually the same as we had on our old trailer. Different axle, though - this is a Dexter; our old one was an AlKo.

Catmom from your picture of your rig you have aluminum rims (option on mine). Mine has the standard white rims. They do not have the covers on them.

Interesting. The aluminum wheels must be one of those "standard options." (Weird designation.)

The aluminums were still optional when I ordered mine. Different style as well. Haven't had any problems in the almost nine months I've had mine. It's been a good trailer so far. I'm sure you'll like it.

catmom, I meant to say that my type of rims are standard on the 2502s and your RV came with optional aluminum rims.

Thanks, all. Just waiting for weather that allows camping (but then, y'all in the east can really relate to that! )

We are new also!

Delighted to be here also! Hubby and I have decided to purchase a Rockwood 8265ws ultra lite 5th wheel. We will be first time RV owners! Are there any others here who have the same model? We think they are beautiful units and very well built. Will order in the next week. We'd love to hear from anybody out there!

FlaFogies, congrats on your new rig! You may want to start a new thread about your specific model - hope that gets you more replies.
